Winter Tour 2024: Cats at the Beach
The Cats escape the cold with their 2023 Winter Tour of San Diego and Hawaii.
The Alley Cats’ 2024 Winter Tour traded the Connecticut cold for two weeks of sunshine. Week 1, Ben and Joseph welcomed everyone to their San Diego hometown. After performing at Ben and Joseph’s alma maters, the Cats surfed the shores of La Jolla, explored the gardens of Balboa Park, and tussled between voice parts to win the annual football game (set on the beach, Top Gun style!).
Week 2, the group continued their beach escapades by flying to Hawaii. The island of Oahu offered gorgeous scenery on land and in the water; the Cats hiked alongside the shoreline and snorkeled throughout Hanauma Bay. A big thank you to Tyler Dos Santos-Tam, a former Alley Cat biz and current Honolulu City Council Member, for helping the Cats workshop with public schools across the city, host a free concert, and even perform on the morning news! The public concert will take place on January 5th, 2024 in the Parker Community Auditorium at La Jolla High. Doors for this concert will open at 6:30 pm and the show will run approximately 70 minutes, including a short intermission.

The concert will take place on Sunday, October 8th at 1:00pm, in SSS Room 114. Tickets can be purchased through eventbrite or at the door. Both groups will perform short sets, separated by a quick intermission. We would love to see you there!

Cats Cross The Pacific -- Summer Tour 2023
The Cats had the pleasure of traveling across the Pacific Ocean to Japan this summer, and they could not have had a more splendid time.
The Cats had the pleasure of traveling across the Pacific Ocean to Japan this summer, and they could not have had a more splendid time. After traveling to Logan’s hometown of Bellingham, WA, along with the spectacular cities of Seattle and Vancouver, the group head over to Kyoto. They strolled the many temples along Philosopher’s Path, trying all kinds of sushi, seafood, and yummy mochi along the way.

Champagne Jamboree 2023
This year’s Cham Jam was the most attended Cham Jam in history, making huge waves in the a cappella community at Yale.
Every year, the Alley Cats plan one of, if not, the greatest a cappella experience in the Yale Calendar — Champagne Jamboree. This year’s Cham Jam was the most attended Cham Jam in history, making huge waves in the a cappella community at Yale. With three brand new arrangements made by current group members, an iconic dance number choreographed by Rhythmic Blue’s Ivy Vuong, our exceptional guest soloist Kyndall Donalson, the best audience known to mankind, and an incredible space, this year’s CJ will go down in history as one of the best.
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us this year, we love you and we appreciate you more than you know. With over 100 bottles of champagne present at the afterparty, we had an absolutely marvelous time celebrating this night with all of our friends and family. Cheers to 79 years of the Yale Alley Cats!
Cats perform for Dean Lewis in Athens, GR
The Yale Alley Cats had the honor and pleasure of performing for Dean Pericles Lewis during our stop in Athens!
The Yale Alley Cats had the honor and pleasure of performing for Dean Pericles Lewis during our stop in Athens! Upon our arrival, we were brought over to the Athens Museum of Natural Sciences to perform for the Yale Club of Greece, which is where we met Dean Lewis for a night of fun and information! Dean Lewis gave an excellent speech about his vision for the future of Yale, and we were incredibly grateful to take part in this event.
The following night, we performed at a Yale Club dinner in a hotel adjacent to the Acropolis. It was truly a magical experience. Thank you to the Yale Club of Greece and Dean Lewis for having us. We could not be more grateful!

The Cats embarked on their first International Tour of 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey and Athens, Greece! After laying down some vocals for our upcoming album in Ian’s hometown of Boston (stay tuned…), we flew across the pond to these amazing and historic cities and had the most wonderful tour (and food)! Thank you to our extremely generous hosts during our stays in these cities, and thank you to the incredible students of BUMK Popapella who showed us an amazing time in Istanbul.

Winter Tour 2023 a SNOWY SUCCESS
The Alley Cats have just returned to campus from Winter Tour, and boy do we have stories and pictures to show for it.
The Alley Cats have just returned to campus from Winter Tour, and boy do we have stories and pictures to show for it. The Alley Cats began tour in Quinn’s hometown of Denver, made their way over to Breckenridge for some skiing in the mountains, and finished off tour in Charleston! The Cats had so much fun, with some of us skiing for the first time in our lives and some of us fully in our element.
