RUSH 2018
Rush is the audition process through which new Yale first-years can become a part of the Alley Cats. Rush takes place during the fall semester at the start of each academic year, beginning with two performances so that you can hear what each a cappella group sounds like: Woolsey Jam and Dwight Jam. From there, you can sign up for an audition and start the process!
The Alley Cats is a member of the Yale Singing Group Council (SGC), an umbrella organization that represents 16 undergraduate a cappella groups. The SGC organizes rush, along with other events throughout the year. More information about rush and a cappella at Yale can be found at www.yalesgc.com.

Tap Night 2018 will start at 10pm sometime the week of September 10th! Be in your room, and be ready...
It's like auditions, Part Two. New exercises, a new solo -- you'll even get a chance to sing with the Cats backing you up.
This is your chance to experience a full-length Alley Cat concert. You'll also have the chance to enjoy some great free food while chatting with the Cats!
Now we get to hear you sing! Your audition will consist of warm-ups, Aura Lee, and your solo. Alley Cat Auditions will take place in the Trumbull College Theater, so you can meet us in the college’s main large courtyard. We'll have a table set-up to meet you!
Sponsored by Yale's Singing Group Council, the Dwight Jam is your second chance to hear Yale’s a cappella groups sing before the official start of Rush. At the end of the concert, people interested in rushing are given the chance to sign up for auditions!
This is the first of two performances in which all the a cappella groups on campus come together to give you a taste of their style of music and performance.
